Biography
Janibul Bashir received his B. Tech. degree in Information Technology from the National Institute of Technology Srinagar and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology at the National Institute of Technology Srinagar. He has previously worked at Samsung Research India Bangalore as a software engineer. He is also a visiting faculty at Atal Bihari Vajpayee-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM), Gwalior
His research interests lie at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Architecture. He focuses on developing efficient architectures for AI applications, advancing federated learning with transformers, and optimizing large language models for zero-shot and in-context learning. Additionally, he explores hybrid models that combine convolutional neural networks (CNNs) with transformers to enhance computer vision capabilities. Research works authored by Dr. Janibul Bashir have received several honours, including Best Paper nomination at NOCS 2020.
